EUROIMMUN was founded in 1987 in Lübeck, Germany and is an international provider of medical laboratory products with more than 3,100 employees worldwide. The company has established various international cooperations with over 50 academic institutions.
EUROIMMUN is engaged in the diagnostics of autoimmune and infectious diseases and allergies, as well as in gene analytics and has extensive expertise in the areas of immunology, cell biology, histology, biochemistry and molecular biology. Its main focus is on test systems for the detection of antibodies in patient serum. Test methods are predominantly indirect immunofluorescence, microplate ELISA, chemiluminescence immunoassay, various blot techniques, RIA and molecular biology techniques. EUROIMMUN offers the largest and most differentiated range of enzyme immunoassays worldwide for the diagnosis of autoimmune and infectious diseases. The company also provides recombinant cell-based immunofluorescence assays for the serological diagnosis of autoimmune encephalitis as well as different immunofluorescence mosaic tests and a line blot for the diagnosis of PNS.
TEAM LEADER :
Dr. Lars Komorowski studied biochemistry at Hanover University from 1991 to 1996. He did his PhD thesis at the Institute of Biochemistry, University of Lübeck, on “The archaeal respiratory supercomplex SoxM from S. acidocaldarius” (1997–2001). From 1998 to 2002, he studied Business Administration and Economics at FernUniversität in Hagen, Germany. Since 2001 he has been employed at EUROIMMUN and is currently Director of EUROIMMUN’s Institute for Experimental Immunology.
